Would definitely come back as it was a relaxing stay. A rooftop terrace was the best part. Friendly staff. Besides, there was private parking.

Room had a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a personal safe and a writing table. Great value for New York City.
Tbh, the street was usually noisy.

Very noisy room that I could hear a machine noise frequently. I don't know if it is AC machine or elevator.

This "four star hotel" at 700$ per night feels like a cheap B&B. The hotel needs renovation badly. Unbelievably small rooms with aircon so loud you have to switch if off to be able to sleep. No bathrobe and slippers in the room is bearable, but even no paper no make notes and water at 5$ a small bottle is not. Add internet for $17/day. Any service request makes you search for the concierge in hope he would arrange your ironing in a nearby laundry. Not recommended.

The room is very clean and stuff are very friendly
The room is quite small but given the location, it's not too bad

Front desk personnel very efficient and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Concierge was very helpful every time she was approached.
Restaurant and staff did a poor job. Cold coffee, long wait for food...not a good way to start a day Bellman, not helpful and even said we were in his way.

Good location near multiple subway lines, lots of amazing shopping and good restaurants.
They tried to give me a double room when I paid for a superior queen. The front desk person argued with me and told me I was wrong, but ultimately switched me to a larger room although it was absolutely still a double bed not a queen. They were still cleaning the room when I went upstairs, which was annoying and shows they are not well coordinated as a staff. The rooms are kind of dated. The elevators are small and slooooow and you have to take one elevator from ground floor to lobby and then another one to the rooms. There is no room service. The faucet in my room would not stay on unless I held on to the handle. I expressed disappointment at checkout and the front desk staffer was not at all concerned. I can't believe this is a Marriott Renaissance. What a joke. For almost the same amount of money I could have stayed a few blocks away at the Park Lane and will do so in the future. Big thumbs down.

One of the few hotels in NYC that didn't have a bed bug report and indeed, it was clean. Very good location, friendly staff, good rooms.
The breakfast is expensive. Would like a proper kettle in the room. The hotel was not very cooperative regarding a late check-out (and wanted to charge approx. 50% of the room price for an addition of 3 hours)

We enjoyed the upscale restaurant/lounge and the professionalism of the staff. The night ambience in the restaurant is perfect. We had a relaxing late night dessert and coffee after seeing a Broadway show and it was a perfect way to end the magical evening.
The room and bath was smaller than anticipated and difficult for four ladies getting ready.

Free wifi, great bar/restaurant - perfect for meeting a friend, conveniently located.
Somehow I was checked in as a different person, so I had trouble accessing the wifi at first, but it got resolved.

I loved th location, the bar, the facilities in general. However, my room was very small which I didn't mind so much since I was travelling alone but at $400 a night I thought was overpriced.
Size of room vis a vis price.

Location Staff was friendly
Empty bottle of beer and glass of wine sat on 13th floor lobby for days and was still there when we checked out Patrons on lobby floor gathered and moved chairs which blocked passage to upper floor elevators
